Tube Light- her 4 am friend

The sun brought along schedules and spreadsheets
Mundane as they may sound, with these, her fears she cheats.

Kept her mind occupied, her fears at bay.
Enthusiasm of meeting people, sometimes real, mostly fake, got her through the day.

Cometh the midnight, she closes her eyes tight.
No escaping the frightful fears, to the ceiling and beyond, it’s a lonely night.

Mind at unrest, body tossing around in the bed.
The possibility of this turning into a permanent scenario, she lay scared.

Rain slashing against the pane, freakish sounds abuzz, her eyes open wide
She curls up on the right, with no one to hold on the other side.

This thought of ending up alone played like a horror scene.
Few minutes, sometimes longer, never does it go unseen.

Switched on the button, the old tube light in her room shone.
Giving Ally, the comfort and familiarity of the known.

Falls into a slumber finally, in the company of the light
Its effect was dim, but it gave her a sense of might.

” I dint choose to be a failure.”

She sat in pitch darkness.
In the vast stretches on a worn out park bench.
Head held in her hands.
Creased brows and teared eyes
Her face was red with fear and dejection.
A lump in her throat causing pain.
She kept uttering these words.
She I dint choose to be a failure.”
Tears and thoughts continued to flow.
She dint wanna let her parents down.
She dint wanna be incapable.
She slogged and slogged but all in vain.
Life and luck were never on her side.
She kept uttering the words.
” I dint choose to be a failure.”
She tried real hard to make her folks proud.
But could never match what her bro did.
She hung in there, fighting her own battles.
She tried to explain to them as well..
But no one understood her.
They judged her all the time.
She felt pressured,Under the scan always.
She kept uttering the words.
” I dint choose to be a failure.”
She dint earn big bucks
Felt terrible all the time.
All people saw was her failures.
None recognized her efforts.
She made sacrifices too
But still remained a looser.
She kept uttering the words.
” I dint choose to be a failure.”
No one read her eyes
but she could see blame in theirs.
Their words stung
She tried to change it all.
No one told her “Its okay”
it robbed her of her beliefs and faith.
She kept uttering the words.
” I dint choose to be a failure.”

She was at a difficult stage
Like living in the cage
she has the keys to it
No point to go to after opening it.
She sat alone all day.
Knitting dreams at times, trapped by loneliness on most days.
No one came to visit her
She dint feel like talking to anyone either.
No respect no care.
Her life was plain and bare.
She had the wings with no desire to fly
The little birdie was low with little energy supply
She was dull and almost depressed.
Hanging on by a thin string of thread.
She knew she had to stop sulking
No one would come to bail her out and kick start rolling
She promised
She failed
Tried  again.
She fell back on her words once again.
Not knowing what to do, she accepted her fate.
She had no talents, no beliefs ,no luck and no choice but to wait.

The girl who is loved by all…..

With a benevolent and easy to get along with nature, she is liked by everyone.
An absolute sweetheart, she loves being in the company of people, discovering new ways to have fun.
With yes as an answer for almost everything others ask, she is the most adjusting one.
Like everyone she also gets discouraged by down turns but to show others a ray of hope is her forte.
Gradually she even learned to find a silver lining for herself and pave a way.
She finds comfort and contentment in knowing that people around her are happy and gay.
Donning up like a pretty damsel is not something she pays attention to, though she manages to turn a few heads her way.
She s never the centre of attraction or never the one to be spoken about but all come to her to share their problems and she listens all day.
A midst all the goodness in her life there’s just one minor fault.
In spite of her earnest efforts she s alone more often than not.
