Yes our skin colour is white.
But In winters we too shiver.
And our clothes also get soaked in rain..
Yes we have to stain our eyes.
But to us also the sky is blue and grass green.
Yes our skin gets sun burns.
But others also get a tan.
We also get ranks in our class.
And medals on sports day.
We can also perform a stage show in college.
And cam start our own company.
Then why do People see us differently n
Y are we  treated  differently.
Like its a disease we have..
We albinos are also the creations of all mighty.
We are a symbol of pure beauty

What Love Feels Like

Love is in the air
With you my sweetheart
I wish to share
These moments of ecstasy & frenzy

Your dreams are mine
Amd I wish for mine to be yours
To live them and see them fulfill
With each others eyes.

Travel this beautiful world around
With you hand in hand held
I wish to be your wings
For you to fly as high as you can.

Give you all the pleasures
Pamper you n care for like none has
You complete my life dear
I belong to you till my last breath
Promise to be there always
For one look of that innocent sweet smile
I simply die.

BARFI- As sweet as its name….

…..For all those who consider movies as an entertainment and a reason for smiling, Barfi is the one you gotta catch. Right from the beginning when the melodious sound of the  song picture shuru fill in your ears till the end , the move never fails to make you laugh. It is a display of  a sweet romance between a mute Ranbir Kapoor(Barfi) and an Autistic Priyanka Chopra(Jhilmill). Both the protagonist have done more than justice to their roles.

The story is heart touching without too much drama. The movie is a joyous ride with its perfectly timed comic acts. The beauty of the cliched scenes  sliding doors, the butt pinching, the mindless chases are all enhanced by the soft and the melodious background score.   A few  sequences in the movie like Ranbir’s effort to make an autistic Priyanka smile with a  a flame shining in the middle of a bubble or the clever manner in which he proposes friendship to Iliana D Crouse by turning the clock 15 minutes behind  are magical.

The strong message which the movie sends across in a very simplistic way and without emphasizing to do so is that whatever  situations life throws at you, if you can smile  at all of them and be happy- the world is a beautiful place to live in.  Barfi with his happy go lucky nature makes a place for himself in the hearts of all those he comes across including the persistent cop. He never gets his disability in the way he lives his life and expresses himself. Never once  does he ask for sympathy. His unusual way of testing his friends brings out the originality of the character. His way of appreciation wide a wide smile and a sweet gesture by his fingers or showing anger with an arm raised in a slapping action speak  by themselves leaving no need for spoken words.

Jhilmill-an autistic girl finds her true beloved in Barfi. Without even knowing and understanding the true meaning of the term love she loves him unconditionally. circumstances bring them together and then she holds his tiny finger to fall of to sleep every single night of their lives till they die together on one bed. Their playful acts with the mirror and Barfi tossing his shoe in the air as a sign of calling Jhilmill are remarkable.  the sparkle in her eyes on seeing the traditional Kolkatta based dance forms filled with colour are a sign of how well PC has got into the character .

Though based around serious issues of physical disability, parents leaving their autistic child who is later kidnapped and almost killed for money, barfi with its amazingly soothing and melodious music, traditional acts of comedy made to look absolutely beautiful,  purity and genuineness of friendship, a completely unique and emotional love story is a must watch…..

The White’s Demand- Equality not Sympathy

………They say beauty lies within and that outer appearance is secondary, but this hold true for each and every human alive, “i don’t think so.”  Until the past couple of years i had no idea what major problems are faced by albinos across India and across the globe. I was not even aware as to how many albinos exist and what is their condition in different parts of the world.  Being an albino myself i was not aware that albinism ha various types levels and degrees all which have different characteristics.

I came across the organisation Albinism group of India on possible the best social networking platform of the modern times, Facebook. this is where i learnt about all of the above and much more. Till this point I knew no other albinos apart from my siblings. This is where I spoke to a lot of other albinos and got to know o their problems pains  and also about a lot of successful albinos.

Even though i am an albino i have never really faced any discrimination in my social circle. If anything strangers and locals walking pass me call me a foreigner and are amazed at my competence to converse in fluent Hindi. but over the past 2 years i have learned that this is not the case everywhere. A lot of us whites( or bhura people) as we are referred to by the common public have faced and a lot of injustice and discrimination in our past and are continuing to face problems even in the ever advancing society. A large number of people are unaware as to what albinism is and if b any chance they have heard the term, that’s the  point where we can put a full stop to their knowledge on the topic.

All I want is for the society and its inhabitants  to know what albinism is  and give albinos an equal chance. If this happens I can assure that there will be less discrimination, as  non albino s  will realize  that our normalcy are at a level matching to theirs. the Only thing different is our Skin colour. My family, friends and colleagues who know me will definitely second my opinion…….

All we ask for is equality and no sympathy.

Yes our skin colour is white.
